    Who was the first person in the United States to be impeached by the House of Representatives, and was simultaneously expelled from the US Senate?

    		I believe this is a flawed question because the first person to be impeached by the House of Representatives was not simultaneously expelled by the Senate.

    William Blount was impeached in 1798 by the House, but the Senate had already expelled him in July 1797. In 1799, the Senate voted to dismiss impeachment proceedings since Blount was now a private citizen.
