    Which Western philosopher first used 'infinite negative' to describe 'irony'?

    		I'm not sure if he was the first, but Soren Kierkegaard did use 'infinite negative', in his published thesis 'On the Concept of Irony, with Continual reference to Socrates' in 1841.
