    		Yes, but they are extremely rare.

    		Yes but it is very rare. A UK newspaper recently reported a case where a mother had identical triplets, it claimed she had received a severe blow to the adbomen in the early stages of pregnancy which had caused the egg to split into 3 parts, surprising all three babies survived.

    		A set of identical quads -- girls -- was very recently born to a Canadian couple, who had to travel to the U.S. for the birth:

    		Thank you. I had always been told that triplets were either one set of identical twins and a fraternal twin, or all three fraternal. Can't believe I've been wrong all these years.
