People with sickle cell anemia are more likely to survive malaria . The red blood cell containing some abnormal hemoglobin, tend to sickle when they are infected by the malaria parasite . The spleen then culls out the infected cells because of their sickle shape and the parasite is eliminated with them .
In another Stephen King apocalyptic thriller, technology spells doom for the world as a terrifying Pulse is spread through cell phone signals. The story follows Clay Riddell as he travels to Maine to save his son. Good luck!
