Mary-Kate and Ashley were not selected first. Does anyone know who were originally cast to play Michelle in 'Full House'?

Bob Saget was not originally chosen to play Danny Tanner...that honor goes to John Posey who played that role for the first unaired episode. There is much debate whether this same child is in picture #1. It appears that this is possibly where the rumor started that the Olsen twins were NOT the first choice to play this role. However, most sources are stating they were in fact the first choice. Thanks for replying!! I read a book about the olsen twins where they were interviewed and they said that they were not the first set of twins selected. In fact, another set of twins had been hired, until the producer met MK and Ash! It was rumored that the orginal twins girls returned for a small part as the twin daughters of Becky's cousin....???
