Could be Anak Krakatau, the so-called "child of Krakatoa" - 1930?

It appears that the island of Surtsey off the coast of Iceland was 2,8 km2 when it was created in the 1960s. Due to erosion it diminished and is today 1,4 km2. I don“t know the exact size of Anak Krakatau, though.
