    		"A sand island is an island that is largely or completely made of sand. The largest sand island in the world is Fraser Island. Other examples of large sand islands are Moreton and North Stradbroke Islands which lie south of Fraser Island off the east coast of Australia."

    		The largest sand island in the world is Fraser Island, located of the coast of Queensland. It was formed during the ice age when great masses of sand were swept into the area by the wind. Since then life has developed rapidly on the island and all manner of exotic creatures now live there, over 200 species to be more precise.
