    What is plastick made of?

    		Primarily Polymers. But there is a lot more to it.

    		Just a quick rundown on polymers, long chain organic molecules which form strings and create the substance of plastic. Plastic is formed from artificial rather than natural polymers like amber, from mainly oil based substances which are used to synthesise many different forms like nylon, and each has its own specific property depending on the molecular structure. The first widely used commercially made plastic was Bakelite, named after its founder, Mr Baekland.
