Well, in "Polly," the sequel to John Gay's "The Beggar's Opera," MacHeath has become a pirate, and Polly marries the son of a "Carib chief."
However, Baloo's questions are rarely this straightforward. I have a funny feeling that he's looking for something else.

Not this time, Frankie. Absolutely straightforward. Gay's sequel to The Threepenny Opera was Polly, but it got banned for quite some time. I have to ask a straight question now and then to keep people on their toes.....

Point taken. But I had this awful suspicion that "MacHeath" and "Polly" might be, for example, humpback whales, fondly named by a Gay or Weill or Brecht fan and last seen heading out to sea.
Or maybe even minor comets.
