This could be the the session, called by PM Mackenzie King, that debated and produced Canada's Declaration of War on Germany.
"The Canadian government fully intended to enter the war, but Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King insisted on recalling Parliament to allow a debate on Canadian participation and to underscore Canada's autonomy from the United Kingdom. After three days of discussion and debate in the House of Commons (and the passage of a slate of war measures), King's cabinet produced a declaration of war, subsequently approved by George VI, King of Canada, on September 10,[6] and proclaimed by Governor General John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir, one week after the United Kingdom and France declared war on Germany. Between September 1 and September 10, Canada used its neutral status to purchase $20 million worth of arms from the still neutral United States before entering the war on Great Britain's side."
