The late Deborah Kerr is perhaps best remembered for her roles in "From Here to Eternity" and "The King and I." However, my favorite film in which she starred was based on a play by a woman who is better known for a novel about a girl and a horse. Which film do I mean, who authored the play, and what's that horse story?

The film was 'The Chalk Garden' by Enid Bagnold and her most well known story is 'National Velvet'.

Very nice, LH, but we do need reference sites. I'll provide one this time.
I find it interesting that these two films each starred a major child actress, Hayley Mills in "The Chalk Garden," and Elizabeth Taylor in "National Velvet."

The Chalk Garden has always been one of my favourite movies, it's a great character study. It is the movie I associate most with Deborah Kerr, but I had a terrible crush on Hayley Mills way back then. I think that must be why I enjoy playing Last One Standing.
