    What are the possible combinations of "second cousin"?

    		The possibilities seem endless, and then you add to the mixed "second cousin" twice removed. In the following chart I counted 11 variations of combinations to get second cousins.

    		Legally, a child of your mother's sister or brother (your aunt or uncle) is your 1st cousin. Your 1st cousin's child is your 2nd cousin. This is the only legally acceptable term of the phrase "second cousin" in the US.

    		People are second cousins if they share a pair of great-grandparents. That's all there is to it, so where are the complications?
