In Canada, women became persons in 1929. This was a direct result of having a judge's rulings being questioned by lawyers in her court who complained that she was not a person under the law. Who was the judge?

Judge Emily Murphy was the magistrate of a newly created Women's Court operating in Edmonton. On her first day a defendant's lawyer challenged a ruling, because she was not a "person" and therefore, not qualified to perform the duties of a magistrate.
After Joshua, God gave the Hebrews judges to protect them from their enemies. This quiz is on the leaders God gave Israel in the Promised Land. Some questions are taken from the New Testament as well.
