First, I am not a lawyer, government official, or any sort of expert on citizenship or naturalization. This is only what I have read and researched for other friends, as well as my own curiosity. You may have dual (multiple?) citizenship. If your parents were Canadian citizens at the time of your birth, no doubt you hold Canadian citizenship and are Canadian. If the military base was considered 'American/U.S.' territory, you may be considered a US national, or have US citizenship. If your parents were living in Germany as permanent resident aliens, that may be a consideration as well. Each country views citizenship and nationals differently, and may not even recognize the other countries definitions. http://www.webcom.com/richw/dualcit/ has some interesting articles to start with. Also, from what I have seen, it can be a curse and a blessing. Best advice is to consult a professional on these matters. It could have a very big impact on our life. If I were king of the world I would just declare every good person a citizen of my kingdom, and let them pass freely. (he dreams on...) Good luck in your quest.
