Emily comes from a place famous for culture and a particular food, Henry comes from somewhere famous for wine, Linda from somewhere famous for skiing. Who are they, and where does Lucy come from?

They certainly sound like title characters from Donizetti's operas - Emilia di Liverpool, Enrico di Borgogna (Henry of Burgundy) and Linda di Chamounix. Lucy would be Lucia di Lammermoor.

And they certainly are. Nice one. I thought this would take a bit longer than that. Emilia is of course Emily in English (and Scouse), Enrico would be Henri in French, and Lucia was Lucy in the original novel by Scott. Linda was an uncommon name at the time of these operas, and seems to have become so again in the latest generations.
