Question #88505. evoman asks:
How high did Eric Clapton's 1974 album 'Ocean Boulevard' reach on the charts?
bugmandu posts:
"Clapton seemed to finally have found the winning formula. 1974’s 461 Ocean Boulevard became Clapton’s first solo #1, producing the #1 cover of Bob Marley’s “I Shot The Sheriff”, as well as a minor hit in “Willie & The Hand Jive” (huh huh)."
Right. 461 Ocean Boulevard was the address of the house that visiting artists often stayed in when recording at Criteria Studios in Miami, and Clapton named his first post-Derek and the Dominoes solo album after it.
