What is the difference between a chest of draws, cupboard, and a dresser?

A dresser is the same as a chest of drawers.
As the name suggests, "a cupboard" was originally a simple board or table on which to place cups or mugs - recorded use of such a name dates back to at least the Middle Ages. For the last few centuries, "cupboard" has referred to a storage area enclosed by doors.
Lists abound. Can you put in the item that goes between the two given? Roy G Biv would know the answer to "In the spectrum: Between red and yellow" is orange.
