Roy Stanley Emerson (born November 3, 1936) is a former Australian tennis player who won 12 Grand Slam singles titles and 16 Grand Slam men's doubles titles. He is the only male player to have won singles and doubles titles at all four Grand Slam tournaments. His 28 Grand Slam titles are an all-time record for a male player.

"From 1963 to 1967, Emerson won five consecutive men's singles titles at the Australian Championships. His six Australian singles crowns are a record for a male player."
Just thought the number of his wins should be part of the answer.

This question is capable of two answers, as shown here.
If you're asking about wins in the men's singles competition of the Australian Open, the answer is Roy Emerson, with six, as stated above.
If you're combining wins in men's singles and men's doubles, the answer is still Emerson, with nine (3 men's doubles, in '62, '66 and '69, as well as the 6 singles):

But if you add in mixed doubles titles, which you generally would not, the answer is Jack Crawford, with 11 (Emerson doesn't appear to have competed in mixed doubles).
