What is Barack Obama's ethnic background?

    Question #88881. Asked by star_gazer. (Nov 22 07 11:47 AM)

Ethnicity of Obama would be considered...

    mu·lat·to / –noun

    1. the offspring of one white parent and one black parent: not in technical use.
    2. a person whose ancestry is a mixture of Negro and Caucasian.

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mulatto

But since this word is "frowned upon" by the A-A community in general, the ethnic classification is yet undefined.

There is a world of confusion concerning "race identity" in youths of "mixed ethnicity", not fully accepted as black or white.
