    		This is correct.
    The main city was Novgorod, the capital of the land colonized by the Varangians (or Vikings), who called it Holmgard.
    Old Ladoga (Russian: Staraya Ladoga) was capital prior to Novgorod.
    The Vikings called it Aldeigjuborg.
