Wenceslas I b. c. 907, Stochov, near Prague d. Sept. 28, 929, Stara Boleslav, Bohemia; feast day September 28 also called SAINT WENCESLAS, Czech Svaty Vaclav, prince of Bohemia, martyr, and patron saint of Czechoslovakia. His praises are sung in his song. From the Encyclopaedia Brittanica.
