I can't remember the name of a particular video game I once played in the arcade, circa mid 1990s. The game was a fighting type game similar to 'Double Dragon', but I don't think that was it. In the first stage you'd go along fighting for a while until about the middle of the stage where there's a mini-boss as I'd call it; this enemy was clearly tougher than any others in that stage up to that point. Once you get past him and get to the end of the stage, the background changes for the stage boss, I seem to remember purple or pink in the background for this boss battle. From this limited description, can anyone think of the name of the game?

That could describe so many side-scrolling fighting games it's not funny. Can you narrow it down with some criteria such as:

    - Platform the game was released on: was it on the NES? SNES? Arcade?
    - What was the theme of the game? Did you fight in a city? In medieval times? Did you fight robots, men, monsters, aliens, etc?

I was definitely fighting men, and I believe the atmosphere was a city. Certainly nothing medieval or sci-fi.

    This almost sounds too obvious....

    Sounds like 'Street Fighter'.

For a walk down memory lane. My memory lane was at the White Plains Bowl in Greenburgh, New York. Every Saturday morning me and my buddies would get on the bus with our skateboards in tow and go to the bowling alley and play for hours.

My favorite was Dig-Dug and Missile Command. My favorite pinball was Firepower. Phoenix was also one of my favorites. Then there is always Galaga!

No, it wasn't a fighting game like 'Street Fighter' or 'Mortal Kombat'. It was a side-scrolling game.

Side Scrolling as in not framed scenes but a continuous linear journey through the combats?

"Continuous linear journey through the combats" sounds about right.

I have search engined this to death. I just got a video off Limewire with Elton John introducing George Harrison and Ringo Starr to do "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." On stage already are Eric Clapton on guitar, Phil Collins on drums and Jeff Lynch on rhythm guitar. Can somebody tell me this concert? Also, I know everybody on stage except the bass player, anybody who can help with these would be greatly appreciated!
