YES sir! But a slight correction. Both Heifetz and Elman were Russians, not Americans.

The Elman family moved to the United States, and Mischa became a citizen in 1923.

Well, in Argentina a person nacionality depends of the
place where he was borne. So a native russian is a russian, and his nacionality never change. Citizenship
is a different subject. But even a russian who gets argentine citizenship, will always be a russian, and never an argentine-russian. So, for us,Heifetz and Elman were russians with american citizenship.

Mischa Elman was a Ukrainian born American.
Jascha Heifetz was a Lithuanian born American.

Regardless of one's definition of nationality or citizenship, Elman and Heifetz are both considered American violinists.

Ah, I neglected to say that Argentina's approach to nationality and citizenship is quite common and very understandable. The whole thing can become quite confusing, can't it?
