"Hurricane Juan (1985) prompted a large evacuation from the city, but did little damage." (Majority was crop damage) Hurricane Juan caused $1.5 billion in damage (1985 US dollars, $2.71 billion in 2005 USD), most of it from crop damage. At the time, Juan was the 8th costliest hurricane in history, and is currently the 24th.
