    		Christmas is not a legal holiday in Syria. Sixteen percent of the population is Christian. They treat the holiday as a religious and family occasion.

    The gifts for the Syrian children are not brought by Santa Claus, instead they are brought by the smallest camel of the Wise Men who bears gifts at Epiphany.
