    The goverment's first foray into military aviation ended badly at Petawawa in 1909. The field chosen for the demonstration was rough, uneven and strewn with bushes. Both aircraft were wrecked. What type of plane were they?

    		They shipped the "Silver Dart" to Petawawa and August 1, 1909 made four demonstration flights. However, the biplane was wrecked in a heavy landing during the final flight.
