    Why does the president of the United States sign the bills with different pens that never get used again?

    		It's a 'historical souvenir' type thing. Usually they are given to the person, persons, or organization that had something to do with the bill being originally written. Those persons could say that the pen they have was used by the President of the United States when he signed a certain bill.
