    A certain 19th century French flutist had the weird idea to transcribe the 24 Paganini caprices to solo flute. He did it with great imagination but the result is an awfully difficult work, as difficult for the flute or more, than it is for the violin. Who was that flutist?

    (and she is lovely too!) on a Fleur de Son Classics CD.
