    What are those little white marks that you see under your fingernails? Are they a sign of a vitamin deficiency or are they caused by injury to the nail or something entirely different?

    		The condition is called Leukonychia. There are a variety of causes including damage to the nail, picking or biting your nails or a zinc deficiency.

    So all of the causes you have listed can result in Leokonychia.
