    Jan Hudec of Calgary caught an edge on the World Cup downhill course at Wengen, Switzerland. What injury did he suffer as a result?

    		A torn anterior cruciate ligament to be specific.

    Jan Hudec suffered a season-ending knee injury in Tuesday's training session for this weekend's World Cup downhill at Wengen, Switzerland.

    Hudec, a 26-year-old Calgary resident, crashed on a portion of the challenging course where skiers reach speeds upward of 150 kilometres an hour.

    He will fly back to Canada on Wednesday to have the knee examined by Dr. Robert Litchfield of London, Ont., but he reportedly suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and broke his left thumb.
