    		Eugene (Gene) Short played for one season (1975-6) in the National Basketball Association, and his stats page shows his team(s) as Seattle-N.Y. Could be him, eh?

    Eugene (Gene) Short (born August 7, 1953, in Macon, Mississippi) is a retired American basketball player.

    Short was selected 9th overall by the NBA's New York Knicks in the 1975 NBA Draft.

    He played for the Seattle SuperSonics and New York Knicks (1975-76) in the NBA for 34 games.
