"The flute part on You've Got To Hide Your Love Away was played by Johnnie Scott (the only credit of his I found), who's referred to as an "EMI arranger" in the book.
It was recorded in early 1965. In his work, as a film composer, he was being referred to as Patrick John Scott.

Can anyone account for the two irregular word formations, restaurateur from restaurant and flautist from flute. They've never made sense to me, and a radio presenter was recently arguing with a caller that restaurateur was only the French version and ours included the n, which I disagree with. There should be a historical reason for dropping it and adding the extra 'a' to flautist, but I haven't found it.
