    		According to ask.com, God is mentioned 4635 times Old and New Testaments combined.

    		Seems like a moot point to me. The "Bible" has been translated into many languages and in English there are lots of different translations. While I am not sure if there is a definitive "original Bible" I am sure that the word God does not appear in any of the earliest Bibles because they were not written in English. A search of the New International edition on Biblegateway.com yielded 3930 for God.

    		The word "Elohim" appears some 2,500 times in the Old Testament. The thing is, often it does not refer to the creator of the universe.

    The tetragrammaton, the four-letter name of God, YHWH, pronounced "Adonai", appears 6,646 times in the Old Testament.
