On some power lines there are orange balls attatched at intervals. What are they for?

Question #9208. Asked by kandy. (Dec 29 00 8:36 PM)

    JReid

They are warning signs for low-flying aircraft or other such objects like ultra-lights or hot air balloons so that they don't accidentally collide with the power lines. They might help alert the birds too, but that's conjecture. Happy new year!
