Scion is a marque of vehicles produced by Toyota Motor Corporation founded in 2003.
Scion grew from Toyota Project Genesis, a failed effort to bring younger buyers to the Toyota marque in the United States. Currently, all Scion vehicles are front-wheel drive hatchbacks.

Toyota (Toyoda properly) has a vast holdings network.
" Toyota owns and operates Toyota, Lexus, Scion brands and has a majority shareholding in Daihatsu Motors, and has minority shareholdings in Fuji Heavy Industries, Isuzu Motors, and the engine, motorcycle and marine craft manufacturer Yamaha Motors. The company includes 522 subsidiaries. "

It is not accurate to say all Scions are front-wheel-drive hatchbacks. The xB can best be described as a mini minivan.
