Buzzy the Crow could be the character that you are speaking of, He appeared in: The Stupidstitious Cat, released April 25, 1947 and eight cartoons by 1954.

Thanks, but Buzzy isn't the one. This one said nothing through the entire cartoon, just hopped around, and in one scene fought a lion and out of the cloud of dust came this hopping crow. There was music through the entire cartoon as well, but the crow said nothing at all.

Okay, I found the answer myself---and also found out that it isn't a crow, it's a mynah bird. There are several cartoons with this bird in it, including, "The Little Lion Hunter", "Inki and the Lion", "Inki and the Minah Bird", "Inki at the Circus", and "Caveman Inki".
