Sony Music owns the rights to the Northern Songs catalog which includes the Maclen music catalog (John Lennon/Paul McCartney penned songs). Sony Music fronted The King of Schlock the $50M as an advance against the sales of his next 3 albums. Unfortunately, Chester the Molester didn't sell enough product to pay back the loan, and subsequently defaulted. Therefore, Sony Music technically owns the rights to the Lennon/McCartney catalog. They do not however own any of the George Harrison tunes, as his publisher was not Maclen Music and was not part of the Northern Songs catalog, nor were the 3 or 4 songs written by Ringo.
Just a side note, The Beatles (Yoko Ono, Paul McCartney, Olivia Harrison and Richard Starkey) still hold creative control over ALL of their recordings and will continue to do so until the year 5000. That means that unless Chase got permission to use "All You Need Is Love" on their current commercial (they didn't, by the way), they stand to lose millions and possibly billions of dollars in copyright infringements.
Does anybody remember a shoe company called Nike? The Beatles certainly do. For all intents and purposes, they put them out of business for using "Revolution" in their commercials without permission. I have heard figures from 6.1 to 35 billion dollars in damages in that suit. I am sure Chase will not fair much better.

Michael Jackson has refinanced his debt, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal, but has not released specific details, specifically the impact on his portion of Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC.
The Santa Monica company is the joint venture of Jackson and Sony Corp. that controls the rights to more than 400,000 songs, including the 251-song catalog of The Beatles.
The report says that the $270 million refinancing loan from New York-based Fortress Investment Group LLC would be paid for by selling his 50 percent stake in Sony/ATV to Sony, giving the conglomerate sole rights to the lucrative catalog.
