What day of the year is the earliest possible Easter?

You are correct, according to the Gregorian Calendar.
However, most orthodox churches use the Julian Calendar.

March 22 is the earliest Easter can be. It is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. It won't be that early again until the year 2285 and the last time it was that early was in 1818.
