Another French violinist (1852-1920), pupil of de Beriot and Vieuxtemps, he toured Europe and America, taught in London Royal Academy. Had a brillant technique and immense repertory. Wrote many works for the violin, all forgotten now, except his huge and exceedingly difficult cadenza for the firt movement of Paganini's concerto op.6
Ricci and Kogan among others used it. Do you know who this French violinist and composer was?

Emile Sauret (1852-1920).
Emile Sauret, born at Dun-le-Roi, France, was a French violinist and composer. He began European tours at the age of eight. Sauret made his American debut in 1872. Liszt performed sonatas with him. Sauret wrote over 100 violin pieces, including the "Gradus ad Parnassum" (1894). In 1873 Sauret married Teresa Carreno (1853-1917), the Venezuelan pianist and composer.
