Which has more holes, a salt shaker or a pepper shaker, and why?

Question #9321. Asked by Dea. (Jan 03 01 7:57 PM)

Perhaps this is different in different countries, in the UK a salt shaker has one hole, a pepper shaker has numerous holes. The hole in the salt shaker is much larger to accommodate the coarse grains, the holes in the pepper shaker are very fine which would help prevent the pepper coming out too quickly.
