    Belgian violinist and composer of ten very melodic and violinistic concertos (1802-1870). Was the teacher of Vieuxtemps and Ernst and creator of the Franco-Belgian school of violin. His concertos are very often prepared by students, and aren't easy, but very seldom played live. Who was he?

    Charles Auguste de Bériot (February 20, 1802 - April 8, 1870) was a Belgian violinist.
