Alma Rosé is the violinist you are profiling.
Her life ended in the Concentration Camp Auschwitz.
In her final days she directed an orchestra of terrified prisoners who played to their captors in order that they should stay alive.
We have all seen large-scale orchestras performing magnificent pieces of music, both old and new. How did the modern orchestra come into being and how is it made up? This quiz is designed to give some insight into its history.
As a follow up to my quiz on folks who died before 21 I thought it would be interesting to investigate a bit to find out who had left us before the age of 30...still very young! I hope this quiz is instructive...enjoy.
