In 1869, Dmitri Mendeleev canceled a trip to visit a factory and stayed home to ambitiously work on the problem of how to arrange chemical elements in a systematic way. His work resulted in the beginnings of the form of a table which arranges chemical elements as is commonly used today. What is the name of that table?

A side bar to Mendeleyev's table:
On March 6, 1869, a formal presentation was made to the Russian Chemical Society, entitled The Dependence Between the Properties of the Atomic Weights of the Elements. His table was published in an obscure Russian journal but quickly republished in a German journal, Zeitschrift für Chemie (Eng., "Chemistry Magazine"), in 1869.
