    In Tibet the "Goddess of turqoise" refers to a mountain, Cho Oyo. I am not sure if there was actually a goddess called this.

    Miners (in ancient Egypt) worshipped Hathor, the "goddess of turquoise",who was believed to protect them.

    The Egyptians also worshipped the goddess of turquoise (referring to "turquoise land") as a form of Hathor.
