Is dowsing a scientifically proven way to find water?

Question #94184. Asked by --simone--. (Mar 31 08 3:16 PM)

"Dowsing is widely practiced despite a lack of scientific evidence for its efficacy."
So, this would imply that the answer is no. There have been scientific studies (as talked about on the link), but the results are mainly disputed, and most dowsers end up performing close to what would be performer by someone who was simply guessing.
