What does a "Twilight" character, whose last name is reminiscent of a type of long-haired terrier, have in common with a student who sued the Moorestown Board of Education?

Eric Yorkie is the character in your description.

Eric is a classmate of Bella's who was immediately interested in her when she moved to Forks. He was resentful of Mike's similar interest, and later in Twilight was seen walking the other way after Mike was hit with a snowball.

He asked Bella to the spring dance, but she declined. Eric was valedictorian of his graduating class, and is described as being very tall with poor complexion.

Blair Hornstine is a student in Moorestown, N.J. best-in-her-class grades, and her school district wants to name her co-valedictorian with two other students.

Hornstine, the 18-year-old daughter of a state Superior Court judge, has asked a federal judge to intervene, saying that being forced to share with students with lesser grades would detract from what she has accomplished.

She has also filed a notice saying she plans to sue the school district in state court claiming the dispute has humiliated her. She said she would be asking for $200,000 in compensatory damages and $2.5 million in punitive damages.
