Depends on the type of forest. The Amazon is the largest rainforest.

This lists the worlds largest forest reserve (about the size of belgium) in the Amazon. The reference however is 10 years old so it may not still be up to date. Of course if you include the entire Amazon it is much larger.

UPDATE: "The taiga, which is the world's largest forest region, contains mostly coniferous spruce, fir, pine, and larch. This is the largest natural zone of Russia, an area about the size of the United States."

Some would claim that the Taiga forest (Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway) is the largest continuous forest of the world.

But then again, there are more than 250 definitions of 'forest'.

WWF has just announced the establishment of the largest area of protected forest in the world. Situated in Brazil, the Amana Reserve covers 2,350,000 hectares (9,180 square miles), an area about the size of Belgium.

I'm looking for the name of a TV mini series movie/show. We had rented them from the video store. It's about a boy who is traveling to different worlds looking for pieces of a machine to get him back home (I think.) He is gathering something along his way. He travels to different worlds with a "professor" and maybe another person. Along the way he visits 5-8 different worlds (each was a different movie.) They were all entitled "Somebody and the Land of ???" One world had to do with giant eggs, one world a town of toys, and the end was a land something like a fantasy "Camelot." My children watched these movies anywhere from 1988 - 1993. I'm hoping someone can help me end my frazzled search.
