    		Yes, worms hibernate in winter.

    Earthworms move down into the soil, some as far as six feet below the surface.

    		It appears that the worms hibernate in winter in the frost layer, and while at the egg stage, but undergo the various development stages in the deeper, unfrozen earth, Butt explains.
