What number does 'phi-phi' stand for?

    Question #94867. Asked by nibbles0011. (Apr 20 08 1:12 PM)

Standard mathematics dictates that phi minus phi is zero, whatever the value of phi is.
Here is an article stating that the value of phi is 1.618033...

In (the unlikely) case you are referring to the hebrew alphabet. Pei has the numerical value of 80, so pei pei pr fei fei (and phi phi?) is 160.

In mathematics and the arts, two quantities are in the golden ratio if the ratio between the sum of those quantities and the larger one is the same as the ratio between the larger one and the smaller. The golden ratio is approximately 1.6180339887.

At least since the Renaissance, many artists and architects have proportioned their works to approximate the golden ratio—especially in the form of the golden rectangle, in which the ratio of the longer side to the shorter is the golden ratio—believing this proportion to be aesthetically pleasing.
