The CRAYOLA 100 Billionth Crayon color was named blue ribbon. On February 6, 1996, Mr. Fred Rogers molded the 100 billionth crayon for Binney and Smith. To commemorate the making of the 100 billionth Crayola crayon, we produced a limited edition Crayola 96 Big Box. Each specially marked limited edition 96 Big Box included a commemorative blue ribbon colored crayon with a white crayon label. In addition, some of the blue ribbon crayons had an additional gold, silver or red foil-wrapped label game piece, which entitled the bearer to instant prizes. 10 gold label winners were eligible to participate in a random drawing on July 16, 1996 for the chance to be selected as the grand prize winner of the actual 100 Billionth Crayola crayon.
